The Blush List - Red, White, & Blue

Knitting // I love this beautiful 1940s sweater pattern from the V&A museum archives.
Crochet // I've wanted to try this crochet star pattern for ages. I might make a red, white, and blue garland for the Fourth of July on Wednesday!
Etsy // One day I just might break down and get the famous starlette crown from Giant Dwarf.
Style // The fashions and photography from Sessun are so dreamy.
Art // The illustrations by Crispin Finn are all eye-catching in shades of red, white and blue.
Food // I really want to make some prosecco floats for the fourth! The layers of fruity sorbet look so refreshing!

Happy first day of July everyone! I'm ready for some patriotic celebrations with my family this week. We will definitely make lots of yummy food, swim, and see fireworks. I need to get some sparklers to play with too!

I spent the day obsessively playing with my new love: embroidery. I can't get enough of the stitches! It is such a fun addiction. Who cares if I have other things I could work on, right? Summer is the time to I learn new things. :)

What do you have planned for the Fourth of July this week? Also, Happy Canada Day to all of my Canadian friends! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

  7. The sweater is lovely. Rowan published a similar pattern (details here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/alouette). I've been meaning to get around to making it myself for ages.
