Hooray for Friday!
Thank you for all of your kind words about my newly organized workspace! I am really happy with it and excited to finally have a space for all of my crafty ideas. It is already getting messy though...haha. That's ok. It just means a lot of creative things are happening!
Unfortunately, I think I am coming down with the cold that is going around right now. I thought I would avoid it all together, but I know so many people who have been coughing and sneezing lately. It looks like it is my turn to have a scratchy throat. So, this weekend I will work on a few things and try to get over this cold. Here's what I have planned...
- The calendar I downloaded last week is going to get a makeover tonight. I will share pictures soon!
- I am finally going to read the free sample of Simply Crochet on my iPad. It looks like a really great magazine! Have you checked it out yet?
- More writing, project planning, and sketching. These beginning stages are really exciting. So many possibilities!
- I've heard so many good things about the Wildwood series. I was in search of a fun book to read, so I thought I would pick it up and see how I like it. Have you read it?
- I love these pretty, spring yarn colors. Perfect for new projects!
- My teacup is standing at the ready. Tea with honey sounds perfect right about now.
I hope you have a great weekend! If you are feeling under the weather I hope you have time to rest this weekend. What do you have planned?

Ooh, get better soon! Being ill is never good, I hope you get lots of rest and take it nice and easy, even with all your planning and creating! I'll be working Saturday but I hope to take Sunday to plan my trip to America in March - so excited!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! That is so exciting about your trip in March! Have fun planning. :-)
DeleteLooks like it'll a great weekend! That yarn doesn't happen to be Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton, does it? Just wondering, I love that yarn, it's so soft! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Abby! Actually is it Debbie Bliss and Jill Eaton cotton. I love that yarn too. :)
DeleteHave a great weekend!
I love the way you show your upcoming weekend in such a visually pleasing way. Your blog is always such a delight!
ReplyDeletei love the photos you take for these posts. they are so pretty! how did you get a free sample of simply crochet? that magazine looks so awesome. get well soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alycia! The free sample came with my Mollie Makes subscription.
DeleteHave a great weekend!
Can't wait to see what you do with those fresh coloured yarns!
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I just started reading the second book in that series, Under Wildwood, today. :) I read Wildwood last year and enjoyed it for the most part. There were some quirks with the writing style that bothered me at first (too many descriptive words and run-on sentences :), but the story definitely has lots of memorable moments. And the illustrations are gorgeous! It seems like most people think the second book is even better, so I'm looking forward to it.

I heard the second book is more enjoyable too. I like the first one so far!

I have been able to dodge the flu so far! I hope you will feel better soon. Remember that I found a film in my old camera? Unfortunately There was nothing on there (anymore). I am now looking forward to have the new film developed, but I still have some photo's to take.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
I do remember that! I'm sorry there wasn't any photos on the film. Enjoy taking new photos! Have a great weekend Marianne!
DeleteI've just finished the chunky cowl project in Simply Crochet... stitched the buttons on this morning, so off out now for a sunny winters walk in the south west of England to try it out.
ReplyDeleteHope your cold goes away soon :-)
A weekend with a book and honey tea will do the trick (add a tot of brandy and your cold will soon be kicked in to touch!)
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for a good read, think I may revisit some Joanne Harris soon. Five quarters of the orange was good if I remember rightly.

I definitely will!
DeleteYou will absolutely love the Wildwood series!! I'm half way through Under Wildwood right now! I can't put it down! It's very whimsical and adventurous. Plus the illustrations by Carson Ellis are so inspiring! Also makes me want to venture to Portland even more. Happy reading! xo
ReplyDeletelooks gorgeous! i love your light photos i have no space or light here! or just alot of clutter! which no one wants to see!
ReplyDeleteI will check out that book series, thanks. I have just started game of thrones books, they are very good! we are also rewatching series 2 before series 3 starts!
Barnicles x
Wildwood is fun, and some of the illustrations are just ridiculously cute! You occasionally get the feeling that the writing has a bit of a "first draft" style that could use a bit of polishing, but I think the imaginative plot makes up for a lot of that.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are so beautiful :) hope you're having a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, lovely lady!!! Your posts always introduce me to something fun and interesting. I can't wait to check out Simply Crochet and Wildwood!!!
ReplyDeleteOoh I do love the colours of those balls of yarn! The mustardy colour especially is gorgeous! Hope you're having a lovely weekend :)

ReplyDeletei will be happy if you like my blog and put link of it in your site
The Wildwood cover is so appealing! It's been sat on my 'to read' pile for a while, but more books just keep being added on top! Seems a good one to read this time of year, especially if you're under the weather- a good comfort read!
ReplyDeleteDid you read Wildwood?!
ReplyDeleteI read it last year and loved it and wanted to give a copy to every child between 8-12 I know, I thought it was so great. I would have adored it when I was a child, too, I'm sure (and that was a long time ago! It's so timeless, when I started it I thought I'd somehow missed a 60s classic!).
I didn't know a second one was out, so I'm off to see about that, now!!
Enjoy!
Guhhh I haven't read Wildwood but all things Colin Meloy make me squeal like a preteen for Bieber, so I need to check that out. Also I love the colors in the Simply Crochet mag! Anddd you should totally do a blog on fav teas, unless you already have. My friend planned a tea swap this weekend and it got me interested in people's tea preferences.
